MEMPHIS ACTIVISM CALENDAR
The purpose of the MAC is to keep the Memphis community up-to-date on opportunities to engage in social and community activism. You are welcome to share events such as meetings, workshops, demonstrations, actions, marches, or performances that fight oppression and promote social justice. Text @MEMPHISACT to 81010 for text alerts about direct actions.
​YOUTH IGNITE MEMPHIS
On November 9, 2019, BRIDGES is partnering with CodeCrew, LITE Memphis and Crosstown High School to host the fourth annual Youth Ignite Memphis summit, presented by the BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Community Trustand FedEx Freight!
​LATINO MEMPHIS 
​For many Latinos living in Memphis, Latino Memphis is the first step in their pursuit of a better life for themselves and their families. For others, we are the only place they can turn to for assistance with health, education, and other basic services.
​LET'S INNOVATE THROUGH EDUCATION
The goal of the program was to challenge students to dream of innovative ways to change their community through entrepreneurial ideas.
​EXCHANGE CLUB FAMILY CENTER
Non-violent conflict resolution is the norm in every home, in every neighborhood, all across the Greater Memphis area.
​Pumps and Politics 901
"High school girls and college women interested in politics now have a chance to be immersed in the industry. The founders of the popular, Nashville-based radio show Pumps & Politics, offer the Pumps IN Politics Political Immersion and Internship program.

Each semester, select interns will be placed in the camps of those running for office and those currently serving in elected positions in Davidson County, included but not limited to – city councilpersons, county clerks, judges, representatives and senators. This program is designed to expose young ladies to the world of politics and increase the impact, impression and inclusion of ladies in the political realm. The program also includes political and professional grooming presented in an all-day workshop led by industry experts, along with feedback throughout the course of the program. Young ladies ages 16-24 are eligible to apply. "
​MPLOY
​"The Memphis Office of Youth Services is an essential division of the City of Memphis serving the educational and developmental needs of students in the Memphis area. The mission of MOYS is to equip students with the tools necessary for becoming contributors to the greater community by inspiring them to make positive decisions in the classroom and beyond through engaging and interactive programs including the Memphis Ambassadors Program (MAP), the Classic College Fair and the MPLOY Youth Summer Experience."
Youth In Government
"The YMCA Youth In Government™ program is a civic engagement and leadership development program for high school and middle school students across the state."

​Black Lives Matter
The Black Lives Matter Global Network is a chapter-based, member-led organization whose mission is to build local power and to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes.
​MICAH Youth Council
MICAH (Memphis Interfaith Coalition for Action and Hope) is a forming coalition of faith-based and community organizations joining together to give a more powerful voice for issues of justice in our city.
​Project STAND
Project STAND is a community outreach event designed to support awareness and assist agencies with resources for Domestic Violence survivors. Project STAND was birthed in 2014 due to the rise of violent deaths resulting from incidents involving domestic violence.
​Stand For Children
"To bring awareness to and stand against Domestic Violence issues in Memphis. Founded in 2005, our Memphis office is working to organize the collective power of parents, teachers, and community members to create a political voice for children and make lasting changes in our education system. "
​United Education Association Of Shelby County
"To support and give exposure to current resources for survivors and their families. Advocating for the improvement of school conditions and seeking solutions to community problems related to schools."
​Office Of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency
"To unite efforts and build a support system for those that are/have been domestically abused Juveniles in crisis—from serious, violent, and chronic offenders to victims of abuse and neglect—pose a challenge to the nation. Charged by Congress to meet this challenge, OJJDP collaborates with professionals from diverse disciplines to improve juvenile justice policies and practices."

Memphis Urban League Of Young Professionals
"Memphis Urban League Young Professionals (MULYP) is a service oriented leadership organization designed to support the objectives of the National Urban League, Memphis Urban League, and National Urban League Young Professionals. Our mission is to promote the development of young professionals (ages 21-40) in the Memphis area and to serve our affiliate through social and community action."
​Sierra Club
"The Chickasaw Group of the Sierra Club represents over 1000 members in Memphis and West Tennessee. We advocate for policies that protect our natural environment, offer hikes and outdoor recreation for people of all ages, support environmental candidates for public office, and provide opportunities for people who want to develop leadership skills to help their community while enhancing the environment."
